ICOM IC-F8101E ALE ® Remote Control Software
VERSION 2 RELEASED FOR SALE AUG 1. VERSION 1 IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED. ALL CURRENT USERS SHOULD UPGRADE. SEE END USER INDIVIDUAL EMAIL FOR MORE INFORMATION.
PRICING IS PER RADIO
This remote control software controls the available features of the ICOM IC-F8101E HF ® radio, and also allows control over the radio’s ALE controller (as programmed into the radio using ICOM programming software, not included).
Additionally, if the user has the RapidM TC4 ® data modem installed, the software also controls it for modem type, data rate, and interleave. Additional modem control features include the ability to interrupt an outgoing transmission cleanly, and indications on the window for incoming data rate and interleave as well as Signal to Noise Ratio and BER.
Included with the package is the ability to scan pre-programmed channels by Voice or S-Meter squelch with an adjustable dwell time.
Also, the user may define up to 16 channels which are scanned using VFO A and allow Voice, S-Meter or No squelch, again with an adjustable dwell time.
A running activity log for both the radio and the modem are included. The radio log will note all ALE stations with a time stamp so the user may evaluate network activity by utilizing the included NetMon application which is launched from the main program.
Connectivity to an external terminal software application is enabled via TCP socket configurable by the user. Thus the terminal software may be remote to the F8101ALE application and still send and receive data from the modem, and receive ALE indications. (Fully compatible with the Station Manager terminal software).
This software is designed specifically with the MARS operator in mind and relies on the latest ICOM ® firmware v 4.08 for full functionality.
